The smell of June, pregnant with sweet fig scent basking in the sun.
A perfect statue
Survivor of centuries
Its smile still contagious.
The smell of baking cake,
Promise of shared pleasure.
The wine tasting session smells of night, bitter almond and elder-flowers. It is full bodied and mentally addled, offers a good persistence of flavours, with a full bouquet of laughter and shared time between friends.
The fountain’s murmur soothes the mind before water can cool the body.
When even breathing is painful in the heat, my cat's effort at welcoming purr is cooling to the soul.
