She runs one every month and I so happened to win two months ago and got the very nice pendant she is showing on her blog.

Why don't you go and join the fun?
You ave one week to do so, so just run with it (and pay attention to the rules).
INCREDIBOX
Play with it, it's great fun!
YEARS from Bartholomäus Traubeck
So nice to think that, potentially, all these trees destroyed by our snow fall (maritime pines and mimosa aren't sturdy enough to withstand the weight apparently) may find a second life in music.
For instance , she has designed some of the mugs for the Night Garden Project.
But she is an amazing artist with fabric and needle and her patchwork art is presented in many shows.
Which explains why I was thrilled to discover that she had been inspired by one of my pictures for a piece she is showing in Oklahoma this weekend!

I am so thrilled by her rendition!
The "ALL Noble Seasons" show is travelling: If you are anywhere near this exhibition, please pay her art a visit.
You're welcome.
Have some random cat picture while you're at it:

I think I am going to make myself a T-shirt with this on. A big one, to go in bed in.

To think I don't even eat cookies...
(And that I am not a food blogger in the strict sense of the term either)

Oh well...
See HERE if the Swap might interest you in your area...
Expect a cookie recipe by the 12th December (with pictures, OF COURSE).
I was thinking of making something like these:

Except not quite...
To recap: The Night Garden Project is there to support Great Lakes Bengal Rescue.

That's Magic, the poster (and mug) Bengal kitty. He's huge and cute. His dad was an Asian Leopard, which makes him a special Bengal.
The poor kitty has been much abused before finally finding his forever home, peace, and love at my friend Lorraine's place.
FIRST She gave us this marvel that is "Sex, Drugs, and Nuclear Physics"
Who else would commit such a wonderful thing?
Ha. Nostalgia.
THEN I remember the first time I haven't quite met Kim.
We clustered on a dark internet corner with digital vodka and I took the opportunity to pester her with some fundamental questions. Strangely - and graciously - enough she answered them too. On internet! To a stranger! This girl isn't scared of anything. I could have been the virtual bogeyman. With vodka!
So what did we discuss? It went like:
Me - Unicorns? Why did it have to be unicorns?
Kim - I love all manner of mythical beasts. But I think I wrote about unicorns because they are the ideal of perfection, fragile strength, and impossible beauty.
Me - What about flying carpets?
Kim - Flying carpets are great. I haven't been on one in a while, probably about 3 years. Actually I almost fell off the last one. It was late at night and I was a bit drunk. I saw a flying carpet passing by and jumped on and almost fell right off.
Me - When are you coming to Rome?
Kim - When I get my flying carpet!
HA!

(Apparently she has something for crocs too)
So I say: let's get her a blooming flying carpet!
Actually, there is way. (IM)Possibly.
NOW This girl went on and redefined "impossible" with a new touring concept.
But do not just take my word for it. Take hers!
For real! As seen on CNN and on the BBC!
No kidding. It worked a treat on her New York show.
She will be going to:
OCTOBER 14th – Los Angeles, CA
OCTOBER 15th – San Francisco, CA
OCTOBER 23rd – Minneapolis, MN (Damn. I am going to miss this one by a week or so. Drats, buggerage and darnation)
OCTOBER 27th – New Orleans, LA
But only if you want it!
(and yep, no sign of Rome in that list but I am ever hopeful)
SO IF SHE COMES NEAR YOU, DON'T MISS OUT ON THE OPPORTUNITY!
I wouldn't.
I can still remember the goose bumps on my arms.
Their new video is up:
And the goose bumps are still haunting me.
